ImagiTales Inc. is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. 1. Information ImagiTales collects.
You are free to visit ImagiTales.com without identifying yourself; however, if you would like to upload a photo for clipping, and/or build an ImagiTale, you must first register with ImagiTales. When you register, we will request your e-mail address and a password. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the address you provide with a verification step required prior to being able to log on to the ImagiTales site. In addition to registration, ImagiTales will request personal information for billing purposes. A valid credit card is required to purchase an ImagiTale, and the information needed to validate your credit card - full name, address, telephone number and credit card CID - will be required from you.
2. Privacy of Children
ImagiTales's policy is to limit the collection of personal information about children to the child's photographic image and first name for use in building an ImagiTale. This information, as with all information provided by you, is encrypted using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. By using the ImagiTales site, you are agreeing to our terms of use. Within those terms is the following statement: "By uploading a photographic image, you automatically attest, grant and/or warrant that the owner of the image and the subject of the image, (or the owner's or subject's guardian should the individual be a minor), has granted you permission to upload and manipulate the image, and that ImagiTales has the perpetual royalty-free, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and subsequently distribute to you and your recipient(s) an ImagiTales product bearing that image."
3. What ImagiTales does with the information it collects.
The personal information you supply to ImagiTales will not be given, sold, rented, loaned, or otherwise disclosed to any third parties outside of ImagiTales, except when you have provided access to specific third parties to your personal library for the purpose of viewing and/or purchasing books you have created.
4. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small data file that certain Web sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. ImagiTales does not use cookies.
5. Access to Your Information
ImagiTales offers users the ability to correct or change the information collected during registration and billing. Users may change this information at any time and as often as necessary by choosing the "edit personal information" option offered under the "My Account" tab of the ImagiTales site.
6. Security
All of your personal information is stored on servers at a location designed specifically to ensure that no unauthorized individuals have access to the server or its data.
7. European Union Data Protection
If you reside in the European Union, upon registration you will be indicating your explicit consent that the personal information you have provided may be transferred and stored in countries outside the EU, including the United States. If you fail to provide your consent, you will not be permitted to access the Services for which registration is required.
