What is an ImagiTale?
An ImagiTale is a children's book, customized with the name and face of a child throughout the pages of the story. You help us create the book on this web site by providing a digital photo of your child and "clipping" out the face, using our state-of-the-art technology. We then take over and do the rest, building your book for preview right before your eyes in just seconds! It's fun and very easy to do - if you can send an email, you can build an ImagiTale!

What do I need in order to get started?
You will need one digital photo of the child who will be featured in the story, and in some cases, a photo of an adult.
The featured person should be facing the camera in your photo. If the child or adult is part of a group photo, that's fine - as long as the photo has been taken at a higher resolution (such as a setting of 3 stars or more on a digital camera). You will be using our easy-to-use tools to clip out the face (see below).
Where do I go from here?
Go to the Titles Library to review our book titles. Once you determine which book you'd like to build first, click the "Build A Book" icon at the lower left of this page, log in, select the book title, and have fun!

Then what?
Follow three basic steps to build your ImagiTale:
If you have never created an ImagiTale, you will need to first place faces in your Face Library. This is Step 1 in the process. Easy-to-follow instructions will guide you in uploading a copy of your digital photo, clipping out the face, defining characteristics for the face, such as gender and skin tone, and storing the face in your Face Library. You may repeat this process as often as you wish until you have all the faces you want in your Face Library.
Step 2 in the process involves defining each character in your story by selecting a face from your library, and filling in the character's name and other information specific to the character.
For some stories, there is additional information you can customize about the story itself. This is Step 3.
Don't worry -- the steps are easy to follow -- just take your time and enjoy the process!
After you have defined your characters and completed these steps, simply click Build It! and let us do the rest. Your ImagiTale, customized with the names and faces of your loved ones, will be assembled and displayed to you for preview.
How do I purchase the book I've created?
After you have previewed your book, you may add it to your shopping cart for later purchase. You can purchase an electronic format of the book, called an e-book, which you may view online or download and print on your own, or you can purchase a bound paperback that we will produce and mail to the address you choose.
